Who doesn't love Vera Wang.
I have just stumble across this spring 2012 collection someone posted about whilst researching for my Wedding Attire project, and I am in LOVE with these dresses.
I brought a beginners lace making kit a very long time ago for a car boot and only te other day started to learn how to do it...Involves a lot of prep work of winding 8 pairs of bobbins... They are the bits hanging down at the bottom.
Then to start! Its quite a fiddly process but when you get into the swing of what to do its is a lot easier. I just did a quick practice, learning 3 different types of 'Stitches' of sorts..the whole stitch, 1/2 stitch and whole stitch twist.. Here are a couple of shots of it as work in progress.
Just been checking out a blog I have come across and love the style of the blogger... www.toomanysequins.com Unfortunatly for me she is not from the UK so all the lovely clothes she has are unreachable unless I pay a shipping fee.. Tempting though...
One of the brands she wears is 17Sundays. Here are a few bits I love.
I made a small sample early on in my project out of a piece of wire, I bent it by hand to create this.
I really love the outcome of this sample and really wanted to somehow experiment further with using metal wire; And the other day i came up with the idea of creating buttons in a simplar way, by just twisting it around to make a round button sort of shape. Here is how they came out..Functional and everything!
